DASTAN

DASTAN is a collection of three hand-painted ceramic wall plates inspired by the tradition of Persian miniature painting, illustrated manuscripts, and the visual storytelling heritage of Iran.

For centuries, Persian painters transformed literary masterpieces into richly illustrated narratives. Epic poems, romances, and courtly tales were not merely read—they were experienced through images filled with symbolism, movement, and carefully composed figures. Every miniature functioned as both an independent artwork and part of a larger story.

Inspired by this artistic tradition, the DASTAN Collection presents three imagined scenes that evoke journey, companionship, and encounter. The figures, costumes, horses, and compositions echo the visual language of Persian miniatures without reproducing a specific historical manuscript or literary episode. Instead, they offer a contemporary interpretation of Iran’s cultural memory.

Each ceramic plate is individually hand-painted, transforming a functional object into a collectible work of wall art. Displayed together, the three pieces unfold like consecutive folios from an illuminated Persian manuscript, inviting the viewer into a timeless narrative where history, imagination, and craftsmanship converge.
